WORKING TOGETHERThe Upper Room Youth Center is a free Monday through Friday, 3:30 to 5:30, after school youth program that works in direct partnership with Delphi Community School Corporation (DCSC). Our facility is a daily bus stop after school with snacks provided and a secure check in/out system in place to ensure safety.
Middle and high school students, public and homeschooled, have the opportunity to receive tutoring from active and retired teachers to improve their educational standing in the classroom as well as behavioral. Life skills such as cooking in a commercial kitchen, car & household repairs, and more are available to the students to learn. Field trips, mentoring, and activities are offered throughout the year. |

WHY DOES MY COMMUNITY NEED URYC?URYC wants to invest in our community’s youth with regards to life skills, mentoring, tutoring, and building relationships. COVID-19 alone impacted the students in more than one way resulting in failing grades, lack of motivation, and poor attendance. We want to impact the future of our community’s youth with positivity and encouragement. We also work in direct partnership with DCSC teachers, school board, and administration. A team of trained volunteers from the community are also on URYC staff.
